Luis Valenzuela

Architect and Master of Architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Doctor of Design at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Was nominated Fulbrighter and Manny Carter Fellowship Grant from the Graham Foundation. Since April 2014, he founded the Center of Territorial Intelligence Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in which he is also professor at the Business School. From 1997 until 2011 he was professor of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, leading a number of research projects and publications on sustainable urban design and vulnerable spaces in cities. He also served as a professor in the area of Urban Design at the School of Architecture and the Master of Urban Design and the Master of Construction Management in the School of Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Chilean Chamber of Construction. Valenzuela was Executive Director of Extension and External Services of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Director of the “Cities Observatory” at the same university. He is an affiliated researcher for the Institute of International Urban Development - IIUDS, Cambridge USA - Former Center for Urban Development Studies of Harvard University.
